Taag Angola has increased capacity on services to South Africa, Nigeria and the Republic of Congo through frequency growth.

Using its B737-800 Boeing Converted Cargo Freighter (BCF), the Luanda-Lagos Brazzaville route will now be served two times a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Luanda-Johannesburg will also goes bi-weekly with flights every Wednesday and Saturday.

Taag’s 737 freighter has a commercial payload of 24 tons, and projections are for 45 tons a week on the Luanda-Lagos-Brazzaville route and 100 tons weekly for the round trip on Luanda-Johannesburg. The frequency growth forms part of Taag’s strategy to secure a firm footing in Africa’s cargo market.

“The cargo business is strategic for TAAG Angola Airlines fulfilling its role in promoting the Luanda hub, and the New Luanda International Airport, as an infrastructure of reference along the African import-export circuits,” the carrier says in a statement.
