Jovago ties up with UHOA
Global online hotel booking website Jovago has teamed up with hotel industry lobby the Uganda Hotel Owners Association in a partnership that promises smaller and more remote hotels a better online presence.
Unveiling the partnership during a press event at the African Internet Group’s offices in Kampala October 28, Jovago Uganda country manager Louis Badea said UHOA’s tie-up with Jovago would offer UHOA members “the possibility to have a higher visibility and an increase in their traffic.”
Jovago also intends to conduct periodic training for UHOA member hotels starting in central region and eventually expanding into the rest of Uganda. The training sessions will focus on raising standards of service, using the online platform and positive practices for success in the hotel industry.
“Our main priority is to improve and expand the tourism and hotel industry in Uganda. We understand that for the tourism sector to be profitable, the industry as a whole must grow and we are intent on making that happen. Jovago.com is excited to welcome aboard our new partners and we look forward to the road ahead.” Estelle Verdier-Watine M.D. East Africa.
